Based in Massachusetts and serving the Greater Boston area, Urban Oasis is a culmination of lessons learned through trial, failure, observation, and experience. We built this company so you no longer have to rely on internet algorithms, conflicting advice, or guesswork to create a home filled with thriving greenery.
Our goal is not simply to make spaces look beautiful on day one. It is to add soul to existing spaces through greenery that is thoughtfully curated, scientifically supported, and designed to thrive in New England homes. We approach every space with a design forward philosophy centered on balance, longevity, and understated luxury.
Amita Vasi
Urban Oasis was born from Amita's frustration with Instagram reels that made plant care look effortless, apps that gave conflicting information and well meaning advice from friends whose homes had completely different growing conditions. As a busy professional with a demanding and travel-heavy career, she also understood how difficult it can be to consistently care for plants while balancing work, family and everyday life. She realized plant care is not one size fits all.
With 20+ years of experience leading large scale transformation and operational excellence initiatives at a Fortune 500 financial institution, Amita brings a systems driven and client focused approach rooted in consistency, thoughtful execution and creating homes that feel alive.
Siddhi Deshmukh
With a master's degree in Plant Science and Biotechnology from the University of Reading, Siddhi brings deep horticultural and plant science expertise to Urban Oasis, with advanced studies in horticulture, crop technology, plant biotechnology, and pollinator research. Her passion for plants began early through gardening alongside her mother and grandmother, shaping a lifelong appreciation for greenery, care, and intentional living.
At Urban Oasis, Siddhi focuses on curating greenery through a balance of horticultural science, environmental assessment, and design driven aesthetics, while remaining realistically suited to the unique light, climate and environmental conditions of each home.
